Moreirense, which finished 10th in the Liga Portugal last season, has sold a majority stake to Black Knight's chairman, Bill Foley. This move brings Moreirense into the Black Knight network, which already includes Bournemouth, French team Lorient, Auckland FC from New Zealand, and Hibernian. Black Knight also has strategic partnerships with MLS side Orlando City and the J-League's Kyoto Sanga.
Through this partnership, Black Knight aims to invest in player development and infrastructure. This investment is expected to elevate the club and contribute to the growth of Portuguese football.
Black Knight's chairman, Bill Foley, expressed his pride in announcing the partnership. He emphasized the importance of working together to drive long-term success for both Moreirense and Black Knight.
