According to sources, the club is looking to sell Mainoo for a starting price of £55 million. This sale would not only generate revenue for the club but also contribute to their profit and sustainability goals, as Mainoo was developed through the club's academy.

Another academy graduate, Marcus Rashford, may also be sold by Manchester United this summer. He is currently on loan with Aston Villa and is expected to be sold for around £40 million.
